Super Foods – Tropical kale smoothie

This popular name pops up everywhere and is used to promote all kinds of foods. It sometimes sounds like these are new, revolutionary foods – they are certain vegetables, seeds, and fruits.

Superfoods are foods that contain many nutrients and other healthy substances in a small amount. They are often full of vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants – essential nutrients for your body. By processing superfoods in a smoothie, you can easily get a lot of it. Los superfoods often do not eat so well, or they are not tasty. In a superfood smoothie, they are delicious, without the essential substances being lost.

There are lots of vitamins in kale, so many of you have more than the Recommended Daily Allowance. That does not hurt, however. The Recommended Daily Allowance values are minimum values and the maximum values above which a nutrient has negative properties are not reached.

Kale is a vegetable full of healthy properties: it ensures a healthy heart, can offer protection against cancer, keeps the blood sugar level on arrow, ensures healthy bones and is rich in fiber, vitamin, and minerals.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups of kale leaves
  • ¾ cup of almond or coconut milk
  • 1 banana
  • ¼ cup of Greek yogurt
  • ¼ cup of frozen pieces of pineapple
  • 2 tablespoons of peanut butter
  • 1 to 3 teaspoons of honey (for taste)

Preparations

Making this smoothie is of course super easy! All you need is a knife to cut the banana into small pieces and a blender to put everything together. First cut the banana into pieces. Add these with the rest of the ingredients to the blender, and mix until it is a smooth whole. Add some more almond or coconut milk if you find the smoothie too thick.

Enjoy! 😊
