The tomato pie is one of the French specialities that has lots of variations. Here, I will show you how to prepare my favourite variation: the one with mozzarella.
Ingredients
- 1 short crust pastry
- 3 tomatoes
- 1 ball of mozzarella
- Mustard
- Basil
- Olive oil
Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 180°C.
- Place the short crust pastry in a mould, prick it and bake it for 15 minutes.
- Meanwhile, slice the tomatoes and mozzarella into slices.
- Take the dish out of the oven and spread mustard on the bottom of the dish, measuring out as you like.
- Spread the tomatoes in a rosette on the bottom of the pie.
- Intercalate mozzarella every 2 slices of tomatoes.
- Add a drizzle of olive oil and sprinkle with basil.
- Bake for 20 minutes and serve hot.
