This recipe of cinnamon rolls coming straight from America is a delicious and irresistible sweet.
Ingredients
For the brioche dough:
- 400 gr of flour
- 1 bag of baker’s yeast
- 5 cl of warm water
- 10 cl of milk
- 50 gr of melted butter
- 30 gr of brown sugar
- 1 egg
- salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
For the garnish:
- 100 gr of soft butter
- 60 gr of brown sugar
- 3 tablespoons cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon grated nutmeg
- a little milk to brush on
For the icing:
- 100 g icing sugar
- 3 tablespoons of cottage cheese (fresh cream…)
Preparation
Put the yeast in 5cl of water.
In a bowl, mix all the ingredients and knead for 15 minutes. Cover and let stand for 1 hour until the dough doubles in volume.
Butter a mould and then flour it.
Flour your work surface, then stretch the dough with a rolling pin and give it a rectangular shape.
In a bowl, combine butter, sugar and spices. Spread this mixture over the entire surface.
Roll the dough lengthwise. Cut ten small rolls, place them in the pan, cover with a cloth and let them rise for 1 hour.
Preheat the oven to 180°C.
Brush the rolls with milk. Bake and cook for about 15 minutes until they are a little golden.
For the icing:
Mix the icing sugar with the crème fraîche. Pour this mixture over the rolls once cooked.
