Good Mornin’ Granola!

“Good mornin’, good mornin'” sang Gene Kelly in Singin’ in the Rain. But what does a good morning mean without a good breakfast?

Granola is a perfect breakfast for those who have enough of boring cereals for breakfast. This delicious and consists of rolled oats, nuts, dried or fresh fruits and honey or other sweeteners. Full of nutrition, vitamins, and natural sugar, granola keeps you fit, healthy and provides you with energy for the whole morning. Sounds good, right? 🙂

Time: 30 minutes

Serving: 3 people

Ingredients

  • 3 cups with rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup of sunflower seeds
  • 1/2 cup of pumpkin seeds
  • 1 cup of chopped nuts
  • 1/2 cup of dried fruits (raisins, dates, dried apricot etc.)
  • 2 tablespoon of sunflower oil
  • 2 teaspoon of cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoon of honey
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • (additionally) 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract

Preparation

To begin with, heat oven to 180C and prepare a tray with a thin, unlined baking sheet.

Secondly, in a bowl put seeds, chopped nuts, rolled oats and chopped dried fruits and mix them together. Add salt and cinnamon. Whisk honey, vanilla extract and oil together until smooth.

Then, pour the oil mixture over the oats. Stir it until fully combined. Spread the wet oats on to baking sheet.

Lastly, put the tray into oven and bake for 30 minutes. If you want your granola to be more roasted, leave it longer. After time, remove from the oven and let it cool off. Do not stir! When it cools, add to a bowl and pour with milk.
