Cordon bleu is a dish from Switzerland. Its name comes from the blue string that was used to hold the slices of chicken.

Ingredients

  • 4 cheese slices.
  • 8 slices of bacon.
  • 4 slices of chicken breast.
  • 4 tablespoons of breadcrumbs.
  • 1 egg.
  • 4 tablespoons of flour.
  • 20g of butter.

Preparation

  • In each slice of chicken, put two slices of bacon side by side and a slice of cheese on top.
  • Fold everything in half.
  • Dip each chicken in the flour, then in the beaten egg and finally in the breadcrumbs.
  • In a frying pan, melt the butter.
  • Cook the cordon bleu for a few minutes on each side.
