Cordon bleu is a dish from Switzerland. Its name comes from the blue string that was used to hold the slices of chicken.
Ingredients
- 4 cheese slices.
- 8 slices of bacon.
- 4 slices of chicken breast.
- 4 tablespoons of breadcrumbs.
- 1 egg.
- 4 tablespoons of flour.
- 20g of butter.
Preparation
- In each slice of chicken, put two slices of bacon side by side and a slice of cheese on top.
- Fold everything in half.
- Dip each chicken in the flour, then in the beaten egg and finally in the breadcrumbs.
- In a frying pan, melt the butter.
- Cook the cordon bleu for a few minutes on each side.
