Cantonese rice comes from stir-fried rice which is a traditional Chinese recipe from the 6th century. It is now called Cantonese rice because many Chinese restorers came from Canton.
Ingredients
- 200g of rice.
- 2 tablespoons of oil.
- 75g of ham.
- 2 onions.
- 2 eggs.
- 50g of peeled shrimp.
- 3 tablespoons of peas.
Preparation
- Cook the rice and rinse it in cold water.
- Make an omelet with the eggs and cut it into pieces.
- Heat the oil and cook the shrimp for 1 minute.
- Add the rice, peas, onions, ham and omelet. Add a pinch of salt and pepper.
- Cook for 3 minutes, stirring continuously.
