Germans are well known for certain things – good cars, good beers and delicious sausages. Currywurst is a famous street fast food which could be little bit too spicy for some people. Anyways it’s quick, simple and everybody loves it!
Ingredients
- 500g (3-4) bratwursts
- 2 cans of tomato sauce
- Curry powder to taste (usually around 4-5 teaspoons)
- 2 teaspoons of smoked paprika
- ½ teaspoon of onion powder
- One tablespoon ground black pepper
- 1 tablespoon of chili powder (optional)
Directions
- Put the tomato sauce in a saucepan on medium-low heat. The idea is to warm up the sauce for few minutes.
- When it’s warm, turn the heat down to low.
- Add all the spices – curry, paprika, black pepper, chili and stir for around 10 minutes.
- Pan fry the bratwursts or grill them (they are tastier when they are fried).
- Then slice them and after putting them on a plate add the currywurst sauce.
- The dish can be served warm or cold with some bread and French fries.
- And last but not least, a cold beer, to make it taste even better.
The abiilty to think like that is always a joy to behold
