Mussels in white wine is a dish from Belgium and northern France. They are cooked in a sauce with white wine and are usually served with fries.
Recipe of Mussels in White Wine
Ingredients
- 2kg of mussels (1kg per person).
- 25cl of white wine.
- 2 onions.
- 20g of butter.
- 1 celery stick.
- 1/2 bunch of parsley.
Preparation
- Wash the mussels.
- Chop the onions and cut the celery in small pieces.
- In a pot, brown the onions and celery in the butter for 5 minutes while stirring constantly.
- Pour in the pot the mussels and white wine. Mix.
- Cut the parsley and add it to the pot.
- Cover and cook over medium heat for 10 minutes, stirring from time to time.
