Cantonese rice comes from stir-fried rice which is a traditional Chinese recipe from the 6th century. It is now called Cantonese rice because many Chinese restorers came from Canton.

Ingredients

  • 200g of rice.
  • 2 tablespoons of oil.
  • 75g of ham.
  • 2 onions.
  • 2 eggs.
  • 50g of peeled shrimp.
  • 3 tablespoons of peas.

Preparation

  • Cook the rice and rinse it in cold water.
  • Make an omelet with the eggs and cut it into pieces.
  • Heat the oil and cook the shrimp for 1 minute.
  • Add the rice, peas, onions, ham and omelet. Add a pinch of salt and pepper.
  • Cook for 3 minutes, stirring continuously.
