Another slow cooker recipe, this time only using 5 ingredients! Easy and delicious this recipe will be appreciated by all. You can then serve this meal in different ways, shred the chicken and serve it in tacos, or top it with sesame seeds and serve with rice.
Ingredients (for 4 servings)
- 2 lbs of chicken breast (about 4-5 chicken breasts)
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1/2 cup of Sriracha sauce (chili garlic hot sauce)
- 1/4 cup of honey
- 2 tablespoons of lime juice
Place the chicken breasts and the chopped onion in a slow cooker.
In a bowl, stir the sriracha sauce, honey and lime juice together. Add to the slow cooker and stir to coat evenly the chicken breasts.
Cook on high for 3-4 hours. (or on low heat for 6-8 hours)
Once cooked, take out the chicken breasts from the slow cooker and add in as much as the cooking sauce as you want.
Serve hot. You can sprinkle the chicken sesame seeds, soy sauce, or fish sauce. Serve with rice. Or with two fork shred the chicken and serve it in fajitas or tacos.
